Wardrobe Overhaul 1: The Inspiration

THE FUNKY FRESH / WARDROBE OVERHAUL

So here’s the thing. Once you start cleaning up one part of your life, going through it with a fine toothed comb, figuring out what you REALLY want - You just wanna do it everywhere. Home, work, style, relationships, goals, you name it! It just feels that good. For me it started a few years back when I began Marie Kondo-ing all my stuff. “Do I really love this thing? You mean I can get rid of it if I don’t?!” So refreshing.

So this season, I’m blowing up my closet and I’m taking you with me! Am I a fashion expert? Nope. Am I a huge closet nerd? Yes! Projects like this get me so jazzed. I hope in sharing my journey, you get some wardrobe inspiration for yourself. Because when your outside reflects your inside, you feel more confident, more awesome and more like YOU.

THE FUNKY FRESH / STYLE INSPIRATION

So what do I know about myself after 32 years of wearing clothes? I’m part tomboy cool, part relaxed beach girl, part grown ass woman. Being comfortable and able to move around all day without a wardrobe malfunction is paramount. I want to keep my laid back style without feeling sloppy. I want to express my creative colourful self without feeling like a pinata. And I want to have fun getting dressed in the morning, without worrying about it again for the rest of the day. Confession: I also hate doing my hair. But then feel sad when it looks wack. Game on girl!
